Dear Valued Delta Dental Patient,

From the time I opened this practice some 30 years ago, I have been a proud member of the Delta Dental Premier Network. In those early years, Delta Dental was a choice Dental Insurance Provider, who provided essential services, looked after their patients, and worked with participating Dentists in providing timely and commensurate reimbursement for services.

As the years have gone by, Delta has evolved, offering more services, but less reimbursement, for both patient and dentist. While Delta as a company has grown, they have seemingly felt entitled to deliver a poorer product. I am deeply disappointed to see a company that Dentist’s initially helped establish … deteriorate.

In light of these circumstances, I have not renewed my membership as a Delta Dental “Premier”Practitioner, effectively withdrawing from being an “in-network” Delta Dental Dentist

But, you can still use Delta Dental as your insurance here at our office.

Delta may have already contacted you regarding my “in network” decision, and if not, they likely willin the very near future. They will encourage you to leave us, and will offer to find you a new dentist.

They might also claim their “in-network” dentists are “preferred” providers. Sadly, they will not mention I have always been and continue to be one of their top tier dentists or the benefits of remaining here as a valued and respected patient.

Both myself and my long serving, experienced staff of many, many years, take great pride in the Dental Services we provide our patients. We have wonderful patients who we consider and treat like family. I cordially invite you to stay with us, and here are some facts and details as to how you can remain with us.
  1. Remember …. You can remain as a patient in our office
  2. Delta Dental will pay “out of network” benefits for your dentistry in our office, which will be less than “in-network” benefits
  3. We will fill out all necessary insurance forms for you, however, you will pay us directly and we will give you the forms to mail.
  4. You can use a credit card so that your insurance check will arrive before your credit card bill is due. Insurance companies are required by law to pay in a timely manner.
  5. Delta Dental will not pay our office directly. Delta will send a check directly to you.
Finally, should you decide to leave us and change dentists, your records and x-rays areavailable for free …  and should you wish to return, you are most heartily welcome.

Sincerely,

Michael F. Fitzpatrick, DMD
